Teenager charged with murder

Polie are still appealing for witnesses to the murder
A teenager has been charged with the murder of a Leeds man who died after allegedly being hit by a car in the city.

David Gellen, 21, was fatally injured outside the Streets of Leeds pub in Roundhay on Wednesday.

An 18-year-old man from Seacroft has been charged with murder and was due before Leeds Magistrates' Court on Saturday.

Also due before the court was a 19-year-old man, also from Seacroft, who was arrested at the same time and has been charged with burglary.

Girls bailed

Two girls aged 16 and 17, arrested in connection with the inquiry, have been charged with theft and bailed to appear before the court on 20 December.

Mr Gellan, of Lincombe Rise, Gledhow was taken to Leeds General Infirmary with serious injuries and later died.

Police are still appealing for witnesses.
