Man remanded on bomb charge
A man has been in court accused of having an explosive device with intent to endanger life.

John McQuade from Ligoneil Place in north Belfast appeared at Laganside Magistrates Court in the city on Saturday.

A detective told the court that when the charge was put to him he replied not guilty.

The accused was remanded in custody.

It is understood the charges are linked to a continuing investigation into the activities of dissident republican paramilitaries.
