'Row' boy died of heart failure
Rashid Femi
Rashid was big football fan
A 12-year-old boy died of acute heart failure after a suspected dispute with another pupil at his school, police have said.

Rashid Femi was taken to hospital after an incident at Chingford Foundation School in Chingford, east London, on Wednesday afternoon, but was pronounced dead on arrival.

A post mortem examination revealed that the youngster, who had had corrective surgery for a hole in the heart and a leaky valve, died of natural causes.

A Metropolitan Police spokeswoman said: "We are still trying to clarify the exact circumstances surrounding the incident. There will be no inquest because the death was because of natural causes.

"Bullying is forming part of the investigation but there is nothing to suggest at the moment that it is an issue. It is not being treated as a racial incident at present."

Rashid lived with his younger sister, Yaren, aged six, elder brother Mustafa, 13, and their parents Fatma, 37, and Salahi, 46, in Margaret Avenue, Chingford.

The school, which is less than a mile away on Nevin Drive, counts England and Manchester United footballer David Beckham among its former pupils.
