Raiders hold teenage girls at gunpoint
Police have appealed for information
Masked robbers held two teenage staff at gunpoint when they raided a Bedfordshire post office.
The raid, at Bromham on Thursday night, was the second armed robbery at a rural post office in the county in four days. Bedfordshire police say they are linking the latest raid with one in Turvey on Monday. Three masked men armed with a handgun and a baton threatened two teenage female shop assistants at the One Stop Shop in Bromham at around 2140 GMT. Black balaclavas They got away with what has been described as a substantial amount of money and cigarettes. A burned out silver blue Nissan Prairie was found in the village soon after the raid. Police said the car was also used in the robbery at Turvey. The suspects are described as an Asian male, 5ft 6in tall, and a second man, possibly Asian, of skinny build and 5ft 9in to 6ft. There is no description for the third man. All three wore black balaclavas. Police are appealing for information. |
