Two arrested after toddler death
Diana Princess of Wales Childrens Hospital
Christian Blewitt died in hospital on Thursday
A couple from North Worcestershire have been arrested in connection with the death of a three- year-old boy.

Christian Blewitt died in hospital on Thursday after he fell into a coma.

West Mercia Police said a man and woman had been arrested on suspicion of wounding and child neglect.

The boy had originally been taken into care by Sandwell social services staff and was later placed with foster parents in Bromsgrove.

He was taken ill at the weekend and was admitted to the Diana Princess of Wales Childrens Hospital, in Birmingham.

Police were alerted by hospital staff who were concerned over his condition.

A post mortem is due to be carried out to establish the exact cause of death.
