Road death pedestrian named
Police in car
Bruce Jones was a bachelor and lived alone
A pedestrian killed in a road accident in Shropshire has been named.

Bruce Victor Jones, 57, lived alone at the Wrekin View Caravan Park at Standford Bridge, near Newport.

He died in an accident involving a car outside the Stormy Petrel public house on the A41 at Tern Hill, just after 0700 GMT on Wednesday.

Mr Jones's death is the second on the same section of the A41 in less than three months.

In September, 42-year-old firefighter Andrew Wisdom was killed as he was walking near the Stormy Petrel.

His death prompted renewed calls for the speed limit on the road to be reduced to 30mph.
