Two women found dead in house
The bodies were found in a Hampshire village home
A 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the bodies of two women were found at a house in Hampshire.
The bodies were discovered when police went to an address on Petersfield Road, Ropley, near Alton, at 2300 GMT on Thursday. A police spokeswoman said the man detained was local to the Ropley area and would be questioned by detectives on Friday. The women have not yet been formally identified. Post mortem examinations are being carried out. Police have sealed off the house in the village while scenes-of-crime officers examine the premises. Detective Chief Superintendent Steve Watts said: " We are keen to hear from anyone who can help with this inquiry or anyone who was in the area between 7pm and 11pm on Thursday evening. "No matter how slight the information appears, it could be important to us."
