River body find is missing boy
Culham Lock at Sutton Courtenay, near Abingdon
Police first searched the area around Culham Lock
Police have confirmed a body recovered on Wednesday from the River Thames is that of missing 12-year-old Nathan Monaghan.

Nathan was fishing with a friend when he fell into the river at Culham Lock, near Abingdon in Oxfordshire, on 9 November.

Despite an extensive search at the time, he was not found.

A body was recovered on Tuesday after a search by underwater police divers three miles downstream on the River Thames at Long Wittenham.

His friend, also aged 12, ran for help after Nathan fell off a weir and hit his head.

An inquest into his death is expected to open on Friday.
