From London to Kabul - To celebrate 70 years of international broadcasting with the BBC, World Service is hosting a global concert featuring music from artists around the world. The special broadcast begins at 1700GMT.

To celebrate the actual 70th birthday of the BBC World Service, much of the day's programming will be coming live from Table Mountain, overlooking Cape Town in South Africa, location of the first ever BBC World Service overseas broadcast.

The programme features guests from Sydney to Mumbai, from Rio to Moscow and link ups with some of the extraordinary people who work for the BBC around the world. Listeners can email the programme throughout the day.
