School suffers second fire
Firefighters tackling the earlier blaze
Firefighters spent four hours tackling the blaze
A fire has destroyed a building at a school less than two months after a blaze ripped through its sports pavilion.

An investigation has now been launched to establish the cause of the second fire at Summerfield Boys School in Oxford.

At the end of October 2002, the thatched roof of the school's sports pavilion was set alight by a workman's blow torch.

In the latest incident, a barn in the grounds of the school in Banbury Road, Summertown, caught fire.

Fire crews were there for four hours and carried out a controlled fire to demolish the building safely.
