Son of ex-Afghan king buried
The son of former Afghan King Mohammad Zahir Shah has been buried in the capital, Kabul, after a memorial service.

Shah Mahmoud Zahir died last week in Rome at the age of 56.

He was one of eight children of the king, and had worked in the Foreign Ministry in Kabul while his father was in power.

He spent most of his later life as a private businessman.

The former king, who is 88, returned to Afghanistan in April this year after 30 years in exile in Italy, and serves a largely ceremonial role.
