Man dies after hit-and-run
Police tape
Forensic experts are now examining the car
A man from Leeds has died after being hit by a car just moments after a fight outside a pub.

The 21-year-old was struck by a white BMW on Sunderland Avenue, Moortown, following the disturbance outside the Streets of Leeds pub on Wednesday night.

The victim, who comes from the Brackenwood area of the city, was taken to Leeds General Infirmary with serious injuries, but later died.

A car was later discovered on fire on the Kentmere approach in Brooklands, near Seacroft.

Forensics involved

West Yorkshire Police say they were called to reports of a disturbance between two groups in the pub at 2141 GMT.

A fight then erupted between two men outside and the pair ran off down Sunderland Avenue.

The White BMW approached Sunderland Avenue a few minutes later and collided with one of the men.

Police are now examining the vehicle and are appealing for any witnesses to contact Chapeltown station.
