Appeal to find missing man

Police say they are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of a missing 81-year-old man.

Police are worried about him as he suffers from angina and dementia.

He is described as being 5ft 2ins, of slim build, with blue eyes and grey hair. He wears glasses, has a slightly hunched posture and speaks with a slight Scottish accent.

Unemployment soars in county

Berkshire has seen the second highest percentage rise in unemployment in the country, according to the latest research.

It is the second highest percentage rise in the UK, after Shetland.

The GMB says the rise recorded in 22 counties is worrying news for the economy.
