Nurse was stabbed to death
Deborah Remorozo
Deborah Remorozo was last seen on Friday
Detectives investigating the murder of a Filipino nurse in Greater Manchester have confirmed she was stabbed to death.

Deborah Remorozo's body was found at a flat in Oldham, at 1738 GMT on Sunday.

The body of the 26-year-old, who had been working as a staff nurse at the Royal Oldham Hospital, was found at Summervale House in Vale Drive.

On Wednesday police said a post-mortem examination on Ms Remorozo's body revealed she died from multiple stab wounds.

Detectives are trying to piece together Ms Remorozo's last movements before she died.

She started working in Oldham last year, after arriving to help ease the NHS staff crisis.

[Debbie] came to Oldham to help the community and we now need the community's help to trace her killer

Detective Superintendent Jack Dees
Detective Superintendent Jack Dees, who is leading the murder inquiry, said she was last seen more than two days before her body was found.

He said: "We know Debbie left work at the hospital at 1500 GMT (on Friday 6 December) and arrived back at Summervale House at about 1600 GMT.

"We need to speak to anyone who saw her from when she left work to when her body was found on Sunday."

Officers are working closely with the hospital to re-assure staff that their safety is one of the inquiry's priorities.

"Debbie was a hard working and friendly woman who was dedicated to helping others," said Mr Dees.

"She came to Oldham to help all the community and we now need the community's help to trace her killer."
