In pictures: Venezuela panic
As oil production in Venezuela plummets as a result of an ongoing stand-off between the government of President Hugo Chavez and the opposition, ordinary people begin queuing at banks, supermarkets and petrol stations in fear of shortages.
People have begun panic-buying as a general strike enters its ninth day.
A drop in oil production has led to fears of fuel shortages.
Many Venezuelans also decided not to take chances with their savings.
His supporters marched through Caracas on Tuesday banging pots...
...while the opposition kept up pressure for his removal.
