A Northamptonshire church pastor denied a series of sexual assaults against four woman when he appeared in court on Wednesday.

Douglas Goodman, 46, from Turnberry Lane, Collingtree, pleaded not guilty at the Old Bailey to 12 indecent assaults and one rape.

The charges relate to four women.

The offences were alleged to have taken place between 1997 and this year while Mr Goodman was working at the Victory Christian Centre in Finchley and Kilburn High Road, north London.

Judge Graham Boal remanded him on conditional bail until his trial which is due to begin on 12 May 2003.
