Father-of-three dies after street stabbing
Mansion Road area of Shirley
Police found Mr Gunn collapsed on the pavement
A 37-year-old father-of-three who was stabbed in a street fight in Southampton has died.

Anthony Gunn, a scaffolder with a son and two daughters, was found collapsed on the pavement after a fight in the Mansion Road area of Shirley involving about 15 people.

Mr Gunn, who was engaged and had lived in Shirley for the past few years, died shortly before 1700 GMT on Tuesday at Southampton General Hospital.

A man in his 20s from the Southampton area remains in custody after being arrested at around midnight on Monday evening.

Detectives leading the inquiry, codenamed Operation Eastpark, are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident on Sunday night to come forward.

A post mortem examination is due to be carried out by Home Office pathologist Dr Huw White.
