Police appeal after male rape
Police car
A passing police patrol car found the man
A man has been raped after walking home from a night out in Redditch.

The man was found by a passing police patrol at 1250 GMT on Tuesday after being attacked and sexually assaulted in the Lakeside area of the town.

He was taken to the Alexandra Hospital but was not treated for any physical injuries.

A police spokesman said the man had been drinking in The Pinnacle and The Rising Sun pubs in Redditch town centre before the attack.

It is thought that the attacker had been walking closely behind the victim before attacking him and raping him just off the road along Arthur Street.

Police are studying CCTV footage taken from the pub and town centre car park and are urging any witnesses to come forward.

The alleged rapist is described as white, 6ft 5in tall, medium build and balding.
