Hull man arrested on flight
Humberside Airport
The plane was flying to Humberside Airport
A man has been arrested after allegedly threatening passengers on a flight from Tenerife to Humberside Airport.

Police say the 38-year old, from Hull, was detained by four passengers in the aisle of the Air Europa flight.

The disturbance took place on flight 249 which left Tenerife at 0715 GMT.

The man allegedly started shouting and became agitated.

Verbal abuse

He then verbally threatened other passengers on the plane.

Four passengers detained the man in the aisle while the plane was diverted to a faster air corridor en route to Humberside.

On arrival at the airport at Kirmington, the man was arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage.

He is now being questioned at Scunthorpe police station.
