Call centre creates 500 new jobs

Workers can choose full or part time hours
Up to 500 new jobs are being created in the call centre industry based in the Dearne Valley.

Ventura, which sets up call centres for clients, says the expansion is a direct result of gaining new contracts and increasing business from existing clients.

The positions will become available in the New Year.

Kate Marsden, human resources director, said: "This announcement further demonstrates our commitment to the region."

The firm say it is particularly keen to employ people who are over 45 years of age, who they find "ideal due to their transferable life skills".

The Dearne Valley offices were named Best Outsource Centre of the Year in the European Call Centre Awards 2002.

Among the clients Ventura deals with are Northern Rock, The Woolwich and Freeserve.
