Michael Mundy has missed taking his medication
An investigation has been launched after carers lost an autistic man during a Christmas shopping trip in central London.
Michael Mundy, 54, from Wandsworth, south-west London, disappeared on Oxford Street at about 1650 GMT on Sunday. Police are extremely concerned for his welfare and have described him as "extremely vulnerable". Mr Mundy is autistic and cannot speak, and it is feared that being lost may cause him to feel disorientated and aggressive. He has also missed taking his medication. Police are checking CCTV footage and Threshold Housing and Support, who look after Mr Mundy, are investigating its procedures. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black jumper, blue jeans and black shoes.
