Breakfast at Kew Gardens
Breakfast at Christmas
See below for today's competition question
From 0830 to 0915 all this week on BBC1 only, Philippa Forrester will be taking a look behind the Scenes at Kew Gardens as part of our series of special Christmas programmes

Today Philippa met the woman who made the Duchess of York's wedding bocquet in 1986.

  • Eminent florist Jane Packer has earned fame and praise for her creative and inspiring designs, and she revealed to us her art of combining textures and shapes to produce glorious floral displays for diverse interiors and special occasions.

As well as selling through her two London stores, Jane has written 10 books and her business empire has now spread to New York, Seoul and Tokyo where her simple distinctive and natural style is in demand.

  • You can see one of Jane's creations that you might like to try for yourself below

  • Also on Wednesday, our resident GP Dr Rosemary Leonard was at Kew with Philippa and the botanical gardens' Dr Monique Simmonds.

We heard all about the medicinal benefits of plants. Dr Simmonds works in a laboratory at Kew that aims to find and identify biologically active compounds in plants and how they can be used for insect control, pharmaceutical drugs, and biological control.

It also assists companies authenticate plants being used as medicines and in cosmetics and assists hospitals identify plant-derived toxins that patients might have taken.
