Fake goods seized in raids

Trading standards officers in Northamptonshire have seized hundreds of thousands of pounds' worth of counterfeit designer goods.

The operation, carried out with the police, was one of the biggest of its kind ever undertaken in the county.

Seven addresses were raided - in Northampton, Wellingborough, and Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire.

Officers found clothes, perfume, watches and bags that were copies of designs by names such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Burberry.

They also seized equipment used to make the counterfeits.
