Police hunt 'taxi rank' rapist
taxi sign
The woman was approached as she waited for a taxi
Police are hunting a rapist who attacked a Teesside woman as she waited for a taxi.

Cleveland Police say the 29-year-old was subjected to a "serious sexual assault'' at the hands of a man who befriended her while she waited.

The attack happened some time after 0100 GMT on 26 November, but police are only now appealing to the public for help after following up lines of inquiry.

Police say the attack happened after the man persuaded the woman to accompany him to a house in Clarendon Road, Middlesbrough.

A spokesman for Cleveland Police said the man was Asian, aged about 30, tall and wearing a denim coat and dark jeans.
