Man dies fighting fire
Lincolnshire ambulance
An ambulance crew could not save the man
A garage worker died of a suspected heart attack as he tried to fight a fire which completely gutted his workshop.

The man, who has not yet been named, died as he battled against the flames at Quincy's Garage on the A52 at Wrangle in Lincolnshire.

Fire crews and ambulance staff were called to the scene and the man was taken to Boston Pilgrim Hospital.

The fire started at about 1520 GMT on Monday destroying a number of vehicles in the workshop.

Firefighters discovered the man, who had been trying to put out the fire, had collapsed at the entrance to the garage.

Police and fire officials said they believed the man had suffered a heart attack.
