Mr Kachhia appeared at Northampton Crown Court
The deputy mayor of a Northamptonshire town has pleaded not guilty to a charge of rape.

He spoke only to confirm his name and enter his plea during the hearing at Northampton Crown Court.

He was granted bail and will appear in court for trial in the New Year.
