Council charged over disease death
Legionella bacteria
The victim died on 7 January this year
A council has been charged over the death of an elderly man who contracted Legionnaires' disease at a residential home.

Harry Goode, 67, died after picking up the disease from water at the Longhedge Elderly Persons' Home, in Nottingham.

It has been alleged the council exposed residents at the home to risks from the water supply.

Mr Goode died from Legionnaires' disease in January.

The council have been charged under the Health and Safety At Work Act 1974 and is due to appear before magistrates on 27 January.
