Danielle's uncle will not testify
Stuart Campbell
Stuart Campbell denies murder
A builder accused of murdering his niece will not give evidence in his own defence, jurors were told on Friday.

Stuart Campbell, 44, of Grays, Essex, denies abducting and murdering 15-year-old Danielle Jones.

Danielle vanished shortly after leaving her home in East Tilbury, Essex, in June 2001 - her body has never been found.

On Friday the hearing adjourned for the day and is scheduled to resume on Monday.

The court also heard that the prosecution case was completed.

The prosecution claims Mr Campbell abducted Danielle in a van as she walked to a bus stop.

They allege that he was obsessed with the teenager and had a fixation on teenage girls.

The case is being heard at Chelmsford Crown Court.
