Arrests in hunt for Colombian killers
Colombian police say they have captured three alleged rebels accused of murdering three United States Native American rights activists three years ago.

Police say the men, Orlando Triana, Agustin Lopez and Aroldo Buitrago, were arrested on Thursday in the central province of Boyaca.

The men, identitied as members of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC), are alleged to have kidnapped and killed the three Americans.

Terence Freitas, Ingrid Washinawatok, and Laheenae Gay were seized while they were studying the U'wa indigenous tribe in the Arauca province in northeastern Colombia in February, 1999.

Their bullet-ridden bodies were later found in neighboring Venezuela.
