Homes attacked with petrol bombs
A petrol bomb attack in which a pet dog was killed and a family was injured in County Antrim was not believed to have been sectarian, the police have said.

The house at Glenmanus Park in Portrush, where the dog died, was attacked at about 2300 GMT on Thursday.

Bricks were thrown through the living room window and moments later a petrol bomb was hurled through the window.

The five people in the house managed to escape out of the back door.

Lacerations

A woman suffered cuts to her face getting out of the house while her teenage son suffered cuts to his arm, stomach and hands.

Their pet dog died in the fire.

The living room was fire damaged and there was smoke damage throughout the rest of the property.

Belfast attack

Meanwhile, a man escaped injury in a suspected petrol bomb attack at his home in Belfast.

Extensive smoke and fire damage was caused to the living room of the house in the Donegall Road area.

Two men were seen running away from the house.
