Hospital suffers new virus outbreak
The Royal Bournemouth Hospital
It is the third outbreak at the hospital in recent months
A Dorset hospital has suffered another outbreak of the winter vomiting virus.

Bournemouth hospital said 79 patients and 34 staff have contracted the virus.

The Norwalk-type bug causes severe stomach upsets and is highly contagious but is not life-threatening.

Friends and family of patients in the hospital are once again being asked to keep their visits to a minimum.

The hospital also suffered outbreaks in September and October.

Accident and emergency remains open but the hospital is advising people to go to their GP instead if possible.
