City skatepark to close
Norwich skatepark
Insurers have refused to renew the park's cover
A popular indoor skatepark in Norfolk is closing because of problems with insurance cover.

Skateboarders have been using the Urbanflight skatepark at Norwich's old bus workshops in Queens Road for more than two years.

The park, which opened in April 2000, has been attracting up to 2,000 people every week.

But now the company's insurers have stopped the park's cover.

They say they are worried about the growing number of accident and injury claims from parents whose children use the skatepark's 26 ramps.
