Class assistant charged with sex offences

A school classroom assistant has appeared in court charged with having sex with a 13-year-old pupil.

Susan Stevens, 32, of Dairy Meadow Court in Northampton, appeared at the town's magistrates' court.

She is charged with inciting the teenage boy to commit an act of gross indecency, indecent assault, and having sexual intercourse with an underage person thereby breaching a position of trust.

No plea was entered.

Ms Stevens was granted bail and is due next before magistrates on 12 December.
