Danielle's DNA 'found on lipgloss'
Stuart Campbell
Stuart Campbell denies murder
Evidence of the DNA of missing teenager Danielle Jones was found on a tube of lip gloss at the home of the man charged with her murder, a court has heard.

Dr Jonathan Whittaker said mixed DNA profiles of more than one person were on the outside of the lip gloss, found in a bag of lingerie at Stuart Campbell's home.

Danielle was last seen walking to a bus stop near her home in East Tilbury, Essex, on 18 June last year.

Mr Campbell, the 15-year-old's uncle, denies her kidnap and murder.

Dr Whittaker said areas of the lip gloss tested were representative of the DNA profile of Danielle, Mr Campbell and his wife Debbie.

Later, a detective told Chelmsford Crown Court that police did "everything humanly possibly" to find Danielle.

Detective Chief Superintendent Steve Reynolds said: "If there is anything that could have been done to reunite Danielle with her parents, I would have done it."

He told the court that the investigation into her disappearance was the largest of its kind ever carried out by the Essex force.

The trial was adjourned until Friday.
