Sue gets Big Brother shove
Perkins: Had begun to find the house difficult to live in
Comedy performer Sue Perkins has become the latest housemate to be evicted from the Celebrity Big Brother show.
Viewers of the Channel 4 charity special chose the comedian for eviction over former Take That star Mark Owen. He will now remain in the camera-filled house with TV presenter and actor Les Dennis and former glamour model Melinda Messenger.
A winner will be chosen by viewers when the series ends on Friday night. Perkins had begun complaining about growing tensions between housemates. "I don't feel right with Melinda anymore and Les feels threatened by me," she said. She was filmed crying in bed, and she explained that she felt "disenfranchised". "Having a laugh in here is very difficult," she added. Message All the contestants were offered the chance to see a recorded video message from a friend or partner as a reward for completing their last task, an assault course. But Dennis refused, saying it would probably upset him.
Dennis has said he is determined to win the competition. "I would not have missed it for the world. I'm looking forward to going home, but I'm also savouring every moment in here," he said. "I very rarely win. I had a boxing match recently and didn't win. I've been nominated for things and I didn't win. It would be nice to win something." Former daytime TV host Anne Diamond and musician Goldie were evicted by viewers earlier this week. None of the contestants are being paid for taking part, and the show will raise money for the Centrepoint homeless charity, the National Missing Persons Helpline, the Rethink mental illness charity and the Samaritans. |
