Police officer injured in disturbances
A police officer has been injured in disturbances in County Armagh.

A number of petrol bombs were thrown at the security forces during the disturbances in Lurgan.

The trouble started after a man was arrested near a bank in the Market Street area on Wednesday afternoon.

Another man was arrested by police officers after a car chase.

Meanwhile, Army bomb experts were called to examine a suspicious object in the garden of a house in Lake Street. It was later declared a hoax.

Train services through the town and in other parts of the rail network were disrupted because of the disturbances.

Passengers were taken by bus between Lisburn and Portadown.
