Attacker videoed indecent assaults
Minshull Street Crown Court in Manchester
Rushton pleaded guilty at Minshull Street Crown Court
A woman has spoken of her horror after discovering a video of her boyfriend indecently assaulting her in her sleep.

The discovery by Emily Harvey, 23, sparked a police investigation uncovering hundreds of victims.

Miss Harvey contacted police after she woke up to find Leon Rushton carrying out the attack, and then found a video of it.

Police recovered 300 videos of Rushton, of Little Hulton in Salford, Greater Manchester, assaulting unsuspecting girlfriends.

It breaks my heart that he has done these things to young children

A video camera behind a two-way mirror was also uncovered at his flat in Manchester Road West.

Rushton has admitted eight charges of indecent assault on three women, and two girls aged 15 and five.

He also pleaded guilty to 11 charges of taking indecent photographs and one of showing an indecent photo, at a hearing earlier this month.

Judge Stuart Fish at Minshull Street Crown Court adjourned sentencing until January and ordered psychiatric reports.

Rushton confronted

Miss Harvey, who waived her right to anonymity to speak about her ordeal, went out with Rushton for six months in 2000.

She woke up one night to find him indecently assaulting her.

She said: "I confronted him and he accused me of lying.

"I did not trust him and when he went out I had a look around and found other stuff."

Her discovery included a collection of videos and photographs.

Child assaulted

"It breaks my heart that he has done these things to young children.

"I want him to suffer and this to happen to no one else again."

Rushton assaulted the young child of another of his victims.

The woman said at first she had refused to believe the allegations.

She said:"Then I was shown the video, one with my little girl on it.

"I could not believe I had been tricked.

"I hate him."
