£11m facelift for city station
Sheffield Railway Station
Sheffield station has undergone an £11m refurbishment
An £11m refurbishment of Sheffield railway station is being officially unveiled on Thursday.

Improvements include a footbridge linking the platforms and new staircases.

Lighting has also been replaced along with a canopy which covers the taxi rank at the front of the Victorian building.

Sheffield is a major station for Midland Mainline services with more than 18,000 passengers and 440 trains passing through every day.
