Police find two bodies in river
Police cordon tape
Two bodies have been recovered from a river
Police searching for a missing couple have found two bodies in a car in an east Yorkshire river.

Divers made the discovery in Beverley Beck.

Anita Harold and Richard Lang were last seen eight days ago as they left the White Horse pub in Beverley.

A pathologist is expected to carry out post-mortem examinations on Thursday.

Appeal for information

Police said Mr Lang, 30, often parked his car at Beverley Beck.

Witnesses said the couple appeared to be in good spirits when they were last seen alive.

Police believe the deaths may have been an accident.

But they are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
