Paul regains Bulls captaincy

Paul captains Bulls to victory in the Challenge Cup semi-final, 1997.

Robbie Paul has regained the team captaincy of Bradford Bulls for the 1999 Super League season.

Paul, who was team captain two seasons ago and club captain last year, replaces Graeme Bradley, who has retired.

Steve McNamara fills the vacant club captain's position.

Coach Matthew Elliott said: "Robbie Paul's development in the area of man management is now complete.

"He's an established international and has an astute football brain. He will lead by example."

Elliott added: "Steve McNamara has always wanted to show his leadership qualities and will be a big asset to us.

"Together they will form a formidable partnership."
