Fire-Fighters' Strike There's been a reminder of the pressures a continued strike might have on our military personnel, who provide a substitute service. Sir Michael Boyce, the Chief of Defence Staff, has said he's worried about the possibility of our armed forces being overstretched. The Defence Secretary Geoff Hoon, who was standing next to him at the time he said this, didn't look too pleased. On tonight's show we'll be getting the latest on whether any solution to the strike is in sight.
