Murder squad releases e-fit
An e-fit of the man detectives want to question
The man fought with Mr Wolfenden in his garden
Detectives investigating a murder in Bolton have released an e-fit picture of a man they want to question.

Greater Manchester Police are trying to trace the man in connection with the death of Craig Wolfenden.

Mr Wolfenden died hours after receiving head injuries during an assault in his garden.

The 35-year-old was confirmed dead at the Royal Bolton Hospital after being found by paramedics at his flat in Bromwich Street, Haulgh, on Friday, 8 November.

He had been seen by witnesses struggling with an unidentified Asian man in his garden at 0300 GMT the same day.

Another witness said the man was seen with fresh grazing to his face in nearby Clayton Street at about 0500 GMT that day.

A woman who was visiting Mr Wolfenden stopped the fight in the garden.

The man police want to trace helped her take him inside before leaving.

'You will be traced'

The woman called an ambulance at about 1900 GMT that evening, after Mr Wolfenden's condition deteriorated.

Detective Superintendent Jack Dees, who is leading the inquiry, said the witness assisting them had helped in creating the e-fit.

He said: "I believe someone must recognise the description and can link that to the person having a graze on his face.

"I would urge this man to come forward and contact police himself, I can assure you we will trace you."

The man is about 22-years-old, 5ft 6ins tall, with short hair, he had a graze on the left side of his face and wore dark trousers.
