Brazil has changed the name of Rio de Janeiro's international airport to honour the musician Antonio Carlos Jobim, who achieved worldwide fame with the song "The Girl from Ipanema".
At a ceremony, President Fernando Henrique Cardoso said the airport had been renamed to honour a man who did an incredible amount to promote Brazilian culture.
Jobim, who died in 1994, is considered the father of bossa nova, infusing jazz with the sounds of samba.
