Two hurt in Belfast shooting

One man was forced into a car as he walked up the Falls Road

Two men have been shot in Belfast in what appears to be a joint paramilitary punishment shooting.

The RUC said the men, aged 27 and 29, were found lying together in an alley off Falcarragh Drive in the Lenadoon area on Tuesday. Both had been shot once in the leg.

Police said one of the men was grabbed and bundled into a car while walking in the Ballymurphy area.

The other is thought to have been forced into another car while walking along the Falls Road. Both were driven to Lenadoon to be shot.

They are now reported to be in a "comfortable" condition in hospital.
