Thousands were killed in violent clashes in Gujarat
In a HARDtalk interview on 22 November, Harsh Mander, Director of ActionAid India, met Tim Sebastian.

More than six months has gone by since the shocking violence that gripped the Indian state of Gujarat.

Some 2,000 people were left dead and tens of thousands were forced from their homes.

Harsh Mander was an Indian civil servant for more than 20 years, involved in development and welfare.

He now works for the charity ActionAid.

What makes him so sure that the atrocities were systematic and planned? And who does he blame?

This interview can be watched in full on Friday 22 November on BBC World and BBC News 24 at the following times:

BBC News 24 (times shown in GMT) 0430, repeated 2230

BBC World (times shown in GMT) 0330, repeated 1130, 1530, 1830, 2330
