Dummy doctor appeals for body parts
Frank James mends broken mannequins from his home
A unique surgeon has launched an urgent appeal for body parts - to restore his collection of mannequins.
Frank James collects broken mannequins so he can fix them and send them on to charity shops. Mr James mends the mannequins from his farmhouse near Ross-on-Wye. He's made an urgent appeal for plastic body parts so he can continue to mend the models.
Body parts "Mannequins sell clothes but if they aren't complete they end up in a skip," he said. "Body parts are very difficult to come by particularly arms and hands - the hands have got to be the right size and the arms the right length." His wife Jan said if her husband had the right parts to fix the mannequins she wouldn't have to share her home with so many of them. "I would be pleased to have my house back as there's hardly any room to move and they are not all that attractive really." |
