Two arrested for stabbing
Gunwharf Quay, Portsmouth
The father was left lying stabbed at Gunwharf Quay
Two men have been arrested in connection with the stabbing of a father in front of his teenage daughter and her friends.

The 49-year-old was stabbed as he picked the girls up after a night out in Portsmouth, Hampshire.

The two men, who are 26 years old and 28 years old and from nearby Gosport, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on Monday.

A spokesman for Hampshire Police urged any witnesses to the stabbing to contact them.

The victim of the attack, who comes from Fareham, was said to be in a "stable" condition in the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham on Tuesday.

He had been left bleeding on the pavement after the attack at Gunwharf Quays on Sunday evening but drove himself and the 17-year-old girls to the hospital.
