Murder victim father's show of love
Alan Stuttle
Alan Stuttle will give the proceeds to charity.
The father of a backpacker from York murdered while travelling in Australia is putting her paintings on display.

Caroline Stuttle was robbed and thrown 30 feet from a bridge in Bundaberg, Queensland.

Her father Alan is showing her artwork at his gallery in York, along with his paintings of his family, this weekend.

Proceeds will go to a charity set up in the 19-year-olds memory.

Caroline Stuttle
Caroline Stuttle was murdered in April.

Mr Stuttle told BBC Look North: "It brings great nostalgia, great feelings of love because an artist always paints with love.

"I painted my children growing up to show them that I loved them and how much I cared for them."

Police believe Caroline was followed by a man who attacked her and in the struggle she fell or was pushed to her death last April.

A post-mortem recorded that Ms Stuttle had died from "massive head and spinal injuries due to a fall from a height".

Australian police revealed that a bag belonging to Caroline was found in a canefield a mile and a half from the bridge.

Police have also taken DNA swabs from more than 150 men who live in Bundaberg, which is about 185 miles north of the Queensland state capital, Brisbane.
