Police are appealing for witnesses after a Coventry man died following an incident in the city centre.

Amrit Bhambra, 23, from Foleshill, had brain surgery in Birmingham but died on Monday.

A man in his 20s has been arrested in connection with the incident which happened during last Thursday's lunchtime.

Detective Sergeant Phil Rickells, from West Midlands Police, said: "We've searched a number of locations and we've made an arrest of a suspect.

"What I am asking for are any witnesses who may have seen the incident."
