Man charged with trying to kill son
The 31-year-old victim suffered knife wounds
A Liverpool man has been charged with attempting to murder his son.
Brian Mason, 51, was due before magistrates on Tuesday. Mr Mason was arrested after his son, Anthony, was seriously injured with stab wounds on Sunday. The 31-year-old victim, who suffered the injuries in Netherley, was seriously ill at Whiston Hospital. On Tuesday the hospital said his condition had stabilised. His father, Mr Mason - from Calderwood Park, Netherley - has been charged with attempted murder.
